Honestly I think G-Dragon didn’t mean of being racist. Yeah we do have internet, so we can’t pretend that we don’t know anything about the cultural appropriation. But have you ever search about that for like once? Me? I only use internet just for entertainment and some sources for my assignment. Why do people said G-Dragon being racist? Let see:
#1 He says the n-word, “yo, yo what’s up mah nigga!”. (

Non-black people: The “n word” is loaded with traumatic and brutal history of oppression for black people. It has been reclaimed by many parts of the black community as a positive form of endearment, turning a word that was used to denigrate and dehumanize into something positive within the community. If you are not black, you do not share that history and are not a part of that reclamation process, point blank, and for you to say the n-word just spits on that history of oppression and struggle for reclamation. It’s antiblack and disgusting even if you aren’t “maliciously” using it against a black person, and this video is case-in-point in that. Stop.
#2 He has also done blackface in “homage” to a black rapper, Andre 3000:
#3 He has performed "Ain't No Fun" with BIGBANG members imitating US blood gangs. G-Dragon dressed in a style highly reminiscent of US blood gangs, in all red wearing chains, a cross and a red and white bandana. (

I don't know what to say about this, but is he really wrong when all outfit that they wore for their stage performance are done by their stylist. Just saying this, maybe I'm wrong.
#4 He “twerks”. Image of G-Dragon in a handstand “twerking” with a tweet "@ibgdrgn: @diplo sorry for the late reply bro. Couldn’t do the Harlem Shake but i’ma still express myself #expressyourself".
Okay I'm going to ask you, is this "twerking". Please tell me cz I really don't know. I thought one that Miley always do on stage is the real "twerking". Again, I have no idea.
#5 He glorifies Maikol, a character from a famous Korean cartoon, Dooly, that is a blackface character “based” on Michael Jackson. Image if Maikol from G-Dragon instagram @xxxibgdrgn, who is a cartoon with large lips, dark skin, stringy afro hair and with a guitar.
#6 He appropriates cornrows. Image of G-Dragon from instagram @xxxibgdrgn, in which he is donning bleach blonde cornrows for “One Of A Kind” music video.
#7 He also appropriates afros. G-Dragon with an afro hairstyle for promotion his new single’s music video.

#8 G-Dragon erases black people and appropriates afros at the same time. Picture of the Jackson 5 (?) wearing afros with original faces erased and replaced with the faces of the members of BIGBANG, including him.
#9 Picture of Taeyang in a large baggy white jacket, big dark sunglasses and a black and white bandana tied around his head from G-Dragon’s instagram updated, tagged “Today’s Special Guest Give it up for My Homie @youngbeezzy Thanz Bruh #taeyang #teydaddy #oneofakind #worldtour in Japan #fukuoka #swag #dope #juunj”. Great example of cultural appropriation.
#10 Image of G-Dragon from instagram @xxxibgdrgn, in chains with a hat backwards on his head, big dark shades on, a bright red bandana tied upside down covering half of his face and wearing a black jacket, jeans with a white shirt, big rings and with his hands raised in the air in fists.
#11 Picture of G-Dragon with Ambush from instagram @xxxibgdrgn, G-Dragon is in a black beater with a black and white bandana wrapped around his head and large flashy gold chains around his neck.
#12 He worked having a cane into a “pimp” look. G-Dragon in foreground wearing a black shirt with light red embroidery on the chest and with 2 large golden chains with an eagle and the letter A enclosed in a circle on each one. He is wearing a black wig with long straight hair with bright red tips and a top hat. He is posturing for the camera looking “cool” with his (pimp) cane outstretched toward the camera and off the screen.

Blackface is not okay, it’s anti-black and it has a long, damning, racist history behindit. And G-Dragon has “black friends” and there’s this little thing called the internet so please don’t pretend like there’s no way that he can’t know, especially when he has been called out on this many times before. Don’t defend it.
I personally feel that G-Dragon did not mean any harm in what he was doing, but that does not make the situation right. Those who understand the history behind blackface will understand why there is such uproar behind the picture, and those who are not educated about the subject will think nothing of it.
Because of this controversy, I did some research about blackface issue for the first time in my life. (

I actually confuse about the using of “N” word. Niga 니가 means “You” (as subject) in Korean, but the more gramatically correct form is actually neaga 네가, while naega 내가 means “I” (as the subject). Well different language, different meaning I guess. To me, there is no meaning for this word. (
